Going from 32x11.5 to 33x10.5 on 4.10's, anyone done it?
It looks like I'll need some new rubber before winter and I'm debating going to a 33x10.5. I wont be changing the gears out for a while though so does anyone have any input on whether or not this is a good idea? The 32's kinda sucked on the trip from Phoenix to Milwaukee on the freeway, they're not too bad around town. Am I going to notice any difference good or bad in a taller, narrower tire?
Anyone run 33x10.5's on a 22r-e w/4.10's that has any input?

I run 31x10.50's w/4.10's (22RE 5-SPD) and frankly I think it sucks now, I couldn't imagine driving anywhere on the highway with 33's. You'd never get out of 3rd, let alone 4th.

5th gear will only be a memory
I bought my 33's from a guy with a 22RE. He thought they sucked. Chev 327 turns them just fine

I have 32x11.50 with 4.10's as well. I was also thinking about going 33x10.5, but frankly I think 32 is the limit with the stock gears. It's hard to hold 55 in 5th on the highway now. Everybody else is right, you could probably run them, but you'd never use 5th gear again.
I'm probably going to swap gears before I go bigger, I'd suggest you do the same.

I run a 33x12.50 on stock 4.10s because I never need to drive on the highway. I'll use 5th around town just for coasting down hills and stuff, but forget the highway if you do. I will get kind of anxious every once-in-awhile and try the highway, but last time I didn't exceed 50mph on the hills =/ I can barely hold 55mph on the flat ground. It sucks if you need to do highway driving, so I'd regear, but if you're like me and are able to take city streets everywhere (it kind of sucks sometimes, but hey, I know my city REALLY well now)...

I switched from 4.10 to 4.88 when I had 32's and with 33x10.50 it is still slow but I can use 5th on the freeway when it's flat. I hate to imagine how slow it would be with 4.10 and 33's. With a 22RE gears = money well spent!
