Gas mileage question
ok i need to know what you guys are getting in your 86-88 ext cab trucks with the 22R (not the 22RE or the 3.slow, or any kind of motor swap) all stock 5spd vehicles...4wd..stock gearing..no lift..not sure what im getting..but i know im not getting what i should..and what size of tires are yall getting the best mileage with..so far im getting better with the 31x10.50 swampers than i am with the 28" street treads..that weigh pratically nothing..lol..but my swampers are WELL balanced..and the street treads are balanced out also..so idk whats up there..i've heard that 32x11.50's get better with stock 4.10's than 28's or 31's...when i regear and lift (in that order) im going to 4.88's and a 3.5" lift in the front and a 4in lift in the rear..(1.5"BJ spacers 2in body and new 2in lifted springs in the back) with hopefully 33x10.50's for street then 34x10.50's for the mud (swamper LTB's)..thanks for any input guys

God bless the man who invented punctuation, but he's probably rolling over in his grave after you just wrote that.
I once got 26mpg with 4.10s and 31x10.5R15 in a loaded down 4Runner, I'd consider that good mileage.

LOL! yea i know..im not to good with punctuation
(you should check out my other posts). i remember when we first got the truck...the FIRST full tank we put in it i got 23mpg's mixed city and highway (mostly city) then i remember another tank where i got 25mpg's (mostly highway)..i know what its capable of
(all of those mpg's were with the 28" tires) i guess i just gotta keep my foot off of the skinny pedal more..although with the exhaust leak i have at the manifold right now..i know im not gettin good..and i know its cause of that (its gettin fixed this weekend....after i go muzzleloader huntin.. )
