Get a K&N drop in Air filter keep it clean.
check your plugs and wires
Air Presure in the tires.

Driving on snow covered roads will lower the millage so will driving in 4wd. I would think that this time of year the snow is wet and heavy too, that will lower it more. You are also driving at a lower speed and that will also make the millage look worse.

And don't forget to take into consideration, our gas mileage isn't all that great with the auto tranny. My previous truck, a '91 3.0, with a 5 spd tranny at 70mph was getting me 23-25mpg. My current BEAST is a '91 4Runner 3.0, with the auto tranny and I'm getting 'bout 15mpg driving speed limit here in Wa.

lol well I get about 15 now. And it hasn't started snowing yet. check all wires and your air filter to like said above.... Also you might have a clogged fuel filter to. And it could be a possibility of bad gas to. Casey's gas always makes my truck run like crap. E-85 also makes it run crappy to.

I live in Boulder area and my milage has not been great the last few days, but consider that I have been letting the engine idle a lot to stay warm and have been running in 4wd most of the time, it hasn't been too bad. In deep snow and running 4wd it is not uncommon to drop 30%

One more thing to remember is Gas stations will be switching over to winter blend gas any time now. I get about 1-2MPH worse millage on that in the same conditions. Not sure if you have Winter blend gas down in the US or not though. I also see about a 30-40% drop in millage when the snow hits the ground in any quantity.

Ive got a 87 toyota pickup 4x4 3 inch lift and 34 swampers and im gettin about 14 to the gallon. So something is up. Change the PCV Valve, its only like five bucks but it improved mine by 3 miles or so because mine was clogged up. Other then that, Fuel filter, Air filter, check the cheap things. And try not to run it in four wheel, that makes mine drop a whole lot. Good luck.

Well you're running a totally different engine, transmission and tires than this guy. A 4Runner with the 3VZE and an Auto on stock tires is lucky to get 16 MPG driving on dry roads in 2WD. The PVC on a 3VZE is a pain in the a** to get to. A bad PVC isn't gonna cut your mileage in half.
I have to assume you have been running in 4WD with all the snow you guys are getting, that's the issue. Probably nothing wrong with your truck, you have just been turning a whole second drivetrain lately.
