gas leak at idle only?? info needed
My 91 pickup will leak fuel if I sit and idle for a while. But it does not leak all the time.. just at idle.
here my random thoughts
1. could the fuel pump be sending too much gas (it gets used when driving but not at idle?)
2. I have read there is a 'breather hose' could fuel come out of it?
Lastly... how should i go about diagnosing the problem.. thank you.

check my post here for my resolution
it started very slow, as ya drive, the vapor is easily un-noticed w/windows down, or driving.
i found my leak using my g.f.'s mirror and a highbeam flashlight.
it would drip every second, and not a lot. but luckily enough for me to find it. and know it was there,,,
place the mirror on the firewall, and shine the light on the mirror too...find that round dampner and watch it..
really pretty easy to fix...(hopefully thats it)
i heard it starts out slow, and can become severe anytime (and cause a fire that may be very difficult to put out)

if you kinda know the area, I'd pull the tank armor off and look around. might just be a rotted hose.
don't worry, the tank protection doesn't actually hold the tank in place. it's just a shield.
it could also be coming from the tank drain plug, too.
you should see a path. it'll probably look like an unusually clean or dark spot, kinda like lube overspray on the frame.
