Garage fit issues ? Lifted 1g 4runner seeks 35" of pleasure and roof over it's head

I'm working with a 4" lift right now, super tts (tiny tire syndrome) and I've settled on a 35x12.5 tire size.

My question isn't about fit of the tires - it's about fit of the garage. Who's got a lifted 1g with 35's that still parks in their garage?

I'd hate to buy the tires, get them on, and then drive through my upstairs bedroom.

Only city slickers have garages..., measure to the top of your antenna then subtract your current tire size from 35 add the difference in tire size to the height of the truck then measure your garage.if it fits it fits, if it don't it'd be better not to try to park I your garage

Ex: say the truck is 6ft high and your going from 31s to 35s the truck would sit around 6'4" with 35s. not all 35s are 35" but if you measure to the top of the antenna you'll have a little wiggle room. Also measure after you get the lift done

You have to remember that a tire is round, being that going from a tire exactly 31" tall to a tire exactly 35" would make the truck 2" taller. The other 2" is on the other side of the tire

Lets say said truck doesn't have an antenna - aerodynamic purposes?

I have a good 6 inches to spare from the old eyeball test, but the pesky bracket from the garage door opener hangs down a bit further (which can be disconnected if needed).

So, using the wheel is round logic, I think I'll squeak in there with two inches to spare.

I'm still a few weeks away from buying tires...need to sell some parts off my part truck first (http://www.toyota-4runner.org/sale-t...incinnati.html), but it seems the measurements I took last night I will be good with a few inches to spare.

I did buy new rims last night, 15x10, got them off CL for cheap!
