Future ideas for the '86....
Howdy gentlemen...
I was thinking this summer, when I get around to doing some rust work that entails lifting the body off the frame for the job, that I might do a mild body lift for ease of maintenance purposes on certain jobs. I'd consider ramifications of coolant lines, motor position, tranny/t-case position, shifter, etc, etc. So, then I thought why couldn't I also lift the whole motor and drivetrain tucking everything upwards with the body. Might bypass the issues mentioned here. Possibly? If it's doable, how would that be accomplished? Blocks at the motor mounts, a raised crossmember? And, how would this affect pinion angles and u-joints? Bad? Good? Any input?
Thank ya for any replies!
