I wouldn't use POR-15 inside a gas tank.

i hear E85 gas will work pretty well

seriously, don't put E85 in your truck. it'll do bad things to your pump and seals. Eastwood company sells a gas tank kit, as does POR-15.

POR15 actually makes a tank liner which is supposed to be a lot better than Kreem...?

the machine shop I use will put gas tanks into the same tank that they boil the engine blocks in... does get rid of the rust but will get the varnish and sludge.

Seafoam (if the tank is still in your ride)

run a full can of seafoam for a full tank of gas, 3 times in a row. that should break up all the crap nicely.

if you're looking to get rid of the rust/varnish permanantly i'd get the por-15 gas tank kit thingy. rust is gunna be hard to get out, but por-15 is good at covering up rust, and creates a layer that will not rust through. the varnish you can probably get out with various solvents.

also, a radiator shop can boil your tank. this of course requires you remove your tank. once it's boiled out, you can use one of the sealant kits

The POR_15 tank kit works well. I used it on a rusted motorcycle gas tank and it worked great.
