fuel release lever/mechanism removal questions
86 4runner
I was wondering if anyone has completely removed the fuel door mechanism(from dash to fuel cap). I just removed the fuel door it self because it is all bent up and people keep telling me my door is open, "Thank you, I know".The inside latch is missing on the truck so the door just hangs there. I don't have a key to the door either. Locking cap solved all that.
The main problem it if there is any body roll a bump on one side or the other the damn thing in the body near the fuel door goes bang bang bang. Really annoying.
So if anyone has done this is it a pain or pretty straight foreward. I have not had much time to see what is involved yet. So many little things so few hours.

well from when i did my front seat mod the cable goes under both front seats so you might have to remove both front seats and
ok here from start to door
dash down drivers kick, down the door jamb area, under drivers seat under the carpet, though the body rail to the pass seat though body rail to the pass side body in the pass side inside panel to the lock on the gas door
hope it helps and very easy to do if you have the seats out and carpet pulled up

Okay thanks,
I took a quick peek and fallowed it to the center console I just didn't know where it disappeared too. I might wait to do that then.Carpet needs replacement anyways.
