Question Fuel Pump oil leak?

1986 22R. I replaces the gaskets on my fuel pump because it was leaking oil but the leak continued. Looking underneath it the gaskets are not leaking but there is two holes under the upper "mushroom" part of the pump that look like they may be the source of the leak? What are these all about? Do they leak when the pump is failing?

I believe that they are some sort of breather, seeing as when you put your finger by one of them you can feel air being forced out. Also the diaphragm could be on its way out, causing the oil leak. I had the same issue with my 87, so I replaced the fuel pump and it fixed the problem.
