Fuel pump issues

Hi, i have a 91 22re pickup that i got into a fender-bender. right now the fuel pump is getting power and all the fuses appear to be in working order; but the issue is it starts for half a second then dies immediately after. its like the fp is getting shut off when it reaches pressure? any info on this issue would greatly appreciated.

I can't remember, is there a fuel pump "crash" switch on these rigs? Most fuel injected cars have a switch that throws when a car is in a wreck, due to the impact forces. This shuts off the fuel so it does not keep pumping through a ruptured line.

My brother had one go bad in his Ford Ranger, it would pop at random times and strand him. Something to look into.

Good luck
