Fuel Line Replacement

It appears my 87 2wd with a 22r has a small fuel line leak from somewhere near the firewall and frame rail. Does anyone have experience replacing or repairing these fuel lines? Where is a good source for these? Should I replace them with metal lines or should I go with stainless braided lines? Any help would be appreciated. I used the search function but it was not as helpful as I hoped it would be.

So you have the 22r the carbed engine.

In that case you have the fuel pump on the engine driven off the cam.

it is a low pressure system compared to the fuel injection one.

You can patch your leak with a short piece of fuel line hose and clamps

Then maybe it is easier to just put a longer metal line in to make the connections .

What ever is easier.

I used a compression fitting to repair a power steering line not too long ago. Worked well and was quick. It had a small hole caused by grit and vibration. The rest of the line was in good condition. Something like that may work if the line is soft enough or you could flare it. But if the line is questionable, you're better off replacing it.

I've never used the braided lines. They look like a good idea, but havd never been a necessity for me.
