Fuel line? Fuel pump? Fuel injector?

Just had my truck towed to a repair shop for steering repair. Mechanic told me my truck ran terribly, and I was surprised because it ran pretty good going in to the shop. I turned the key and it almost felt like it was running on three cylinders. It was totally gutless and would idle at about 300-400rpm. Felt like it wasn't getting enough fuel. Where do I start in determining a fuel-delivery issue?

What engine? Sounds like a 22RE. If so, see:

Send a message via AIM to dcg9381
Check your codes before you decide that it's out of fuel.
4crawler has a good page on using the jumpers to activate the fuel pump.
