Fuel Injectors ?.

Are all fuel injectors for 85-89 22RE`s the same ?, i aquired a set of injectors for a 22RE but i don`t know what year they came from. If there are diferences between some years what would it be ?. If someone would post a picture of what the fuel injectors look like so i can compare the ones i have, it would be appreciated.

Well i had 4 good extra fuel injectors, they match the 83-87 type-c injectors pictured above, but i just went out to get them so i could compare them to the pictures and i droped one, it landed on the nozzle end that the fuel sprays out of and shattered the end. is this repairable or is this injector now dead ?, needless to say, but im a little pissed that i droped it, but thats the kind of luck i have most of the time.

is it just the seal on the end that broke (part that fits into the intake)? those seals usually harden and get really brittle

No, its not the seal, if it was that then it would be no big deal. What broke was the plastic end were the fuel sprays out of.

I would say that doesn't sound good and will affect the injector spray pattern

Where in Cali do you live? I was thinking of making a junkyard run Thursday for an 8" Supra LSD I saw last week. I could keep an eye out . . .

You could send it to witchhunter, http://www.witchhunter.com/process2.php4 and for $18 get it cleaned, tested and a new pintle cap put on.

Thats what i broke on my injector, i just didn`t know what that piece was called, thanks. These injectors didn`t cost me anything, i just hate it when i have some good used parts and something happens (my fault) and it gets broken. I will look into sending them to witchhunter to have them cleaned and repaired.

Thanks.
