Fuel Inj help
After a day of searching I finally found all 3 seals per inj! The thing I am worried about is that on 3 of the Inj. it looks like the "black coating" down by the spray nozzle is flaking off! This stuff appears kinda thick. My question is do you think that they will be ok without this "Coating" on them? I really don't wanna fork out a lot of money for new injectors BTW it is a 88 22re. Thanks Bill i will post pics when I get home from work

Are you talking about the rubber coating at the bottom? I don't see how that would flake off. As long as the coating is sealing on the rubber insulator that sits in the intake then you should be fine.

If you're talking about the pintles, send them to witchhunter.com - he'll replace them and clean 'em for you... You may be able to buy the pintles at NAPA, but I've never actually done the replacement.

If you are talking about the plastic pintle caps at the end of the injector they are actually pretty easy to replace, I was able to pull them off with a pair of pliers. Don't plan on re-using them though. I managed to break a couple getting them off. The new ones snap right on no tools required...

Just the caps by themselves I'd check the stealership. If you want all the seals and the filter http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Fuel-...6278QQtcZphoto
