Fuel filter in backwards?
I just changed my fuel filter, and I am glad I did. I followed the instructions here: https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f116...ctures-218962/
They were very helpful - I love this site.
So, when I got under there I noticed that the filter bracket was not attached to the frame of the vehicle - the bolts were gone! Then I inspected more closely and I realized that the bracket was upside down and couldnt have been bolted in because it wouldnt line up... then I realized the old filter was on backwards... The whole assemby was just hanging there!
I removed the filter bracket & filter, and installed a new filter and bought some new bolts and attached it all up correctly and everythings great now.
My question: can a filter be used backwards? should I be worried that the fuel hasnt been filtered correctly?

I have seen them in backwards before. I wouldnt be worried about the fuel that has already been run thru it. I think you would of have other problems if it was really contaminated going thru the filter.

Just kidding. The filter has a "correct" direction where it will work better, but if your vehicle is running well now with the filter on the right way, you're almost certainly in the clear.
