Fuel Damper...

I am rebuilding my 22re and am now looking at my fuel damper and wondering what to do. The small screw on the top seems to set the the damper but I am not sure what is the right setting. When I pulled it from the truck the screw was free inside the cap and the truck ran fine. If any one has experience with this device please help. HOW DO IT PUT BACK ON PROPERLY?

Not sure what you're talking about.. Are you talking about the fuel pressure regulator (by-pass) - there was an actual dampner that helped resolve fuel pulse issues on some years, but I didn't think it required adjustment.

Ya know...I had the same issue when I rebuilt my 3.0. I just screwed it in maybe 1/2 turn and put the cap back on. It ran fine after the rebuild.

My screw had fallen off in the cap as well. I tightened it back in all the way. That was over a year ago. My 3.0 seems to be running fine.

I dealt with the same thing a while back doing a motor swap. Made a call to the dealership and talked to a mastertech. Just screw it back in. It'a be fine.
