Front valence removal.. pic request

Anyone have pics of a 2g 4runner with the valence on the front bumper removed?

considering doing it to mine, sort of inspired by the border patrol rigs around here...

There are 2 styles of 2nd gen 4runner bumpers. The older ones have bumpers like pick ups have, which is the type i should have on mine.

And then there is the newer ones like the one that is on my 4runner in the pic above.

IMO the older bumpers look cleaner with the valence removed because the turn signals are still surrounded by the bumper.

yeah im not doing this i dont think.. i have the style bumper that makes the lights look goofy without the valence.. and it will expose too much rust

Could always chop it like I did I have a body lift and wanted to keep the front body mounts covered.

Just trim it. I know you said you have the other style bumper, but it shouldn't look terrible.

i trimmed mine on my last truck, i think it looks real nice, then i took off the mudflaps and cut them to make a guard for the bottom of the turn signal

Thanks. That was a 3 minute trim with a sawzall after I crunched the passenger side.

I didn't like how it looked removed so I trimmed it. Sorry about the crappy pic, just ran out and snapped one using my flood lights.

I left a thin part of my valence attached under the turn signals and trimmed the bottom half of the vent thing from the middle portion.
