Front oil leak

My 91' 22RE pickup is dumping a enough oil out of the front oil seal that the entire front diff is shiny with oil. I'd say it's probably a noticeable drop every 300 miles. I did a timing chain job and replaced the front seal. I am pretty sure I packed it right, but I won't swear to it. What are the chances that pulling the crank pulley (I have the stuff to do it) and repacking the seal will slow / stop the leak?

You need to pull it off and check to see if you have a groove worn in it by the seal, might need to put a sleeve over it.
