Front leveling kit?

Front leveling kit?
My 1992 4runner has 3inch lift spring in the rear and i was told that a 1.5" bj spacer would get it close to level. needless to say that didnt happen, i currently have my torsion bars cranked up about 5 turns to level it out a bit but i dont like that cuz ive torn a few boots now. does anyone know if there is a 1" or so front leveling kit for my 4runner?

Bj spacers will give you approx 1.5" of lift and about the same of added travel. To make up for all that rear lift I would get the bj spacers, and a 1" diff drop. This will allow you to have 2.5" of lift and keep your cv's at a good angle.

There is really no such thing as a leveling kit. Jay has the best option short of putting in shorter springs for the rear axle which would probably yield a more capable rig since you will have more front and rear down travel.

I'm understanding from his post that he has 3" springs in the rear and 1.5" bj spacers and a tbar crank in the front but is still raked. That is unless I'm reading it wrong...
There really isn't anything I can recommend other than going with a shorter spring in the rear. A 3" front end IFS lift is hard to come by. Running bj spacers and a tbar crank is a recipie for problems as you are finding out.
Btw, one thing you could do to minimize CV boot carnage is to install a manual hub conversion to stop the CV's from spinning all the time.

I'm definitely in the lower rear spring crowd. Downtravel is as important as up when it comes to keeping your wheels on the ground one uneven surfaces. You can't really see the rear tire on my truck but you can infer from the angle that the axle is flexing very well. The truck negotiated these rocks excellently especially considering it had open diffs and 31's.
I am running the stock coils, coil spring spacers, and air shocks. The combination can bare heavy loads but flexes very well.

I did a manual hub conversion and i have 1.5" bj spacers. i ripped one boot so far after about 8000 miles of use, about half of which were in 4wd. the tbar crank was my dads idea, when its uncranked it just sits a little nose heavy, i really just wanted some coil spring spacers or somthing for upfront.

Options include:
Spacers with stock springs and probably air shocks if you want to carry any loads without sagging 'cause stock springs are very soft.
New OME or other correctly sized lift spring.
Check out www.trdparts4u.com They are a toyota dealer and an off road type dealer that should be able to quote everything from stock springs to OME and SDORI stuff.
