Front Drive Shaft problem

I'm hoping some one has some info on this. Anyway installed a trailmaster 4" susp lift on my 88' ifs pickup. Yeah i know i should have gone sas but that's a whole seperate issue.

Here's the problem, the front drive shaft doesn't reach. It wont flex down far enough to mate with the flange on the front diff. It's binding in the cardan joint. Has anyone else had this problem? I found something on 4x4wire to take it apart and grind it down to get the 30 degrees out of it like a 84-85 front shaft provides. IFS shafts only provide 25 degrees stock? I really dont feel like doing this if i can avoid it. My buddy has few 84-85 shafts i can get but then i think the flanges are different. I also installed 4.88 diffs out of a 4runner, are those flanges different from the stock 4.10 diffs i took out. I'm at work right now and cant mess with it so i'm posting here for some info.

thanks that would be sweet but i need to keep this low budget. g/f would kill me if she only knew how much $$$$ i actually spent on this truck so far that i originally got for free. plus i dont see why this one isn't fitting properly, not my first lifted rig. i'll get it to work, just wanted to see if someone else ran into this problem with an ifs lift.

Get an earlier front Driveshaft from a solid axle truck. The IFS CVs are only good to 21 degrees. An early shaft is good to 35*.

Clearance the CV like they show on 4x4wire. It's free.
