FREE BEER round #2 and I'll pay you...

...yes!
I need to rebuild my front end (IFS) in my 94 ext. cab 4x4. I live in Humboldt county and if any knowledgeable Yotatecher wants to help me with it I will supply the beer and I will pay you a reasonable amount for the work. I will help. I am mechanically inclined and have done minor to major jobs on my pickup. I have not done a front end.
PM me and let me know.

Too bad you're not in Central Florida. I'd do it for free.

Good luck in the search.

Btw, you are talking about ball joints, TRE's and such right, not the diff?

Thanks...

It really isn't that bad of a job, but it's an intimidating one when it's your first time. Just get a copy of the FSM and go to it. Just change one piece at a time and then get it aligned when you're done. It really is that simple.

Our local Autozone rents tool sets for free (buy it and refund when you're done) so I got a puller set and a decent pickle fork and a few sockets and that was all that was needed. When I went back in and rebuilt the front end it literally took about 3 hours to do it all. After you do it once you'll be a pro at it.

Have you seen the ebay kits from arm_can?

Here's the kit I put in my front end. It's still nice and tight after about 10k too.

There's at least one thread about them on the forums. I haven't heard anything bad about them either.

Great info...I got an 87 that needs the front end tightened up, among other things.
