A free 1993 4x4 PickUp? I'll take it.

A free 1993 4x4 PickUp? I'll take it.
So I'm normally a computer guy by trade - but a couple of years back, I got a good paying job and decided to keep my 1990 Taurus SHO instead of buying new. There's a saying with SHO's, even available as a t-shirt. SHO - Making normal people mechanics since 1989.
Since getting my hands dirty on the SHO (performing a complete engine rebuild and a few other things), I've gone thru a supercharged miata with megasquirt (I think I burned a hole in the piston..), and I've been gathering parts for the last year for a turbocharged miata.
So enough about me - more about my problem. I was complaining at work about breaking a timing belt on my daily driver miata (to be turbo'd, but not till I've fully vetted the SHO) and one of my managers mentioned a 93 4x4 Toyota I could have if I would get it out of his driveway.
And that's how I've come to possess a 1993 4x4 with squirrel damage.
It's in great shape, 120k miles, hasn't run in a year, might need a clutch. I'm no stranger to clutches or wiring due to the miatas and megasquirt. Thanks to the rare usage of the truck, a squirrel family made a nest inside the engine bay, eating the wiring harness.
I spent last weekend cleaning things up, and deciding to see how cheaply I could get the truck running - so far I've got 50$ for the car trailer, 50$ in diesel, and 75$ for a new battery. ~40 wire splices later, it looks like I've managed to get the engine turning over. There are a few wires that might have a splice inside the harness - I've got ~41 wires on the firewall side, about ~38 on the engine side. I hit up the local junkyard to see if I could score a harness and maybe an ECU for cheap - no luck, but I did manage to score a windshield wiper harness off a 4runner.
So - could anyone possibly shoot a picture of the engine bay near the wiring harness? And in case I do need to bite the bullet and replace the entire harness, is there a compatibility list hanging around? I imagine 1989-1995 22re 4x4's will match, but will non 4x4's work? I also need to see if there are any components that the squirrels ate that I'm not seeing before I start toning out wires from ECU to sensor to find out where the extras are. I've got a Chiltons and the FSM, I'm sure they'll come in handy. Thanks.

Damn, thats badass for free..Lucky man.
I would just keep looking for a replacement harness if I were you. If if you manage to splice and dice everything back together, you'll be chasing electical gremlins until the end of time.

I'm afraid I'm not fully versed on terms yet - I know (think) sr5 is 4runner with the 6 cylinder / trim package?
It is a 5 speed with the 22RE - and coming from my megasquirt experience, I'm amazed that its simultaneous injection (at least I read that on another thread).
And yes - I'm amazed and ecstatic I got it for the cost of hauling it away. I was really expecting to just get a beater with enough rust to use as a backup, haul an engine from the junkyard, and ugly enough to look better with a coat of rattle can flat black - but I think I might have to start going out with my friends when they go 4 wheeling.
Someone on craigslist is parting out a 93 near me (Atlanta) - so I'll probably be giving him a call if I can't get it running tomorrow. I do smell gas from the exhaust, so I'm pretty sure I've got fuel, need to check spark. Oil pressure and coolant sensors shouldn't prevent the engine from starting. Also need to pop the fuel filter and jump the fuel pump tomorrow to purge the tank, and an oil change... then spark plugs, wires, bleed brakes, bleed slave cylinder, order valve cover gasket, judge how bad the clutch is slipping... and so begins another auto project for me.
And because I'm a narccisist that loves this shot of the engine - here's a pic of my Taurus.

And its not Rally (LOL), not is it Racing. That would be ridiculous for a 3500lbs truck with a 100hp motor to be badged with anything implying speed. All it originally stood for is the R-series motor (ie: 18R, 20R, 22R and so on).
