Found a 4runner need help though!

Ok its a 91 4runner sr5 power every thing. the only problem is it leaks oil like a sin. So it looks like its coming from the oil pump. My question is how hard is it to slap a new one in it?
Its a pretty clean rig over all. We were talking about trading straight across but it depends how much of a "D"itch it is to put a pump in.

You sure its the oil pump? Is it a 4 or a 6 cyl? $ cyls are easy to reseal the oil pumps and to do a front crank seal at the same time. Make sure you check your cranck pulley for a worn spot around the snout where the seal rides. You can get repair sleeves for those. Also make sure you pack the gears in the pump with clean grease before reinstalling it

Ok well i talked to my buddy that checked it out and he said it was either the oil pump SEEL, or the crank seel. He said to do both parts at his price and his labor 100 bucks. So i think im going to trade trucks and just redo both seels for the hell of it.
any other imput from you guys?

How many miles? 4 or 6? If its a 6 any HG issues? Have you considered MPG's? Will there be different insurance costs? Are you going to be better off with the runner or is a truck more along the lines of what you need? Just a few things to think about.

It has 231k on the 6 runs really strong though the owner of it now thinks it had a dif. motor put in but can not really besure cuz he bought it from a auction. mpg is not a big deal my 4bangger is worthless in mpg. Insurance is not a big deal if any thing it should go down i think.. its 125 a month now so im not to conserned about a few more bucks. And as far as along the lines of what i need im not sure entirly. I love the room in the 4runner and all that and i have multiple trailers so if i need to tow stuff during hunting seasons just hook up to one.
