Flywheel cover
Well, upon an underside inspection today. I noticed I have no flywheel cover.
Yes...I know that the teeth could potentially be damaged by road debris and other nasty things.
Anyone have a flywheel cover they'd like to unload or know where I could get one?
I checked the standard auto supplier web sites and found nothing.
A btter question...am I supposed to have a flywheel cover or is this a nasty trick from the manufacturer,by not installing a flywheel cover?

for the 3.0L with a 5spd there should be a small dust sheild that bolts to the bottom of the belhousing.which seems to be the part you are describing. yes you should have one, get it either at a boneyard or from the dealer.

I dont beleive you can take it on/off without removing the tranny/flywheel. Its bolted to the block I think. You can see it is between the trans support brakets and goes up between the belhousing and block.

Ooooooooooh...my bad friends....I have 3.slow thats an automatic.(which is listed in my sig.)
All I know is that I can clearly see the flywheel...which can't be good.
P.S. Their is no such thing as Toyota's in boneyards around me,and I'm scared of what the dealership would charge for a new cover.
Still looking for a used one if anyone has one for sale.
