flopped and need help!

ok heres the story. monday afternoon while up playin around in the snow, i flopped my 89 yota pickup on its drivers side . not super hard, but hard enough. the windshield is smashed some, the driverside side panel is bashed in, and the side of my roof is a little dented. so i took it to the autoglass place to get a new windshield put in. they said they wouldn't do it due to the destabillization of the roof/cab, and that the windshield or the back window could pop out and bad things would happen. at the moment by budget is fairly small, and i need to get this fixed. what is the cheapest (and safest, but not haggard lookin) way to fix this? i really dont want to have to replace the cab, so is there anyway i can restabilize it? anything would help, really. and how much would these repairs cost? ill post some pics later. thanks

Ask on Pirate.. they flop all the time.
I think your answers are going to be some backyard body work, expensive body repair, or a cab swap.

if you want to you could buy a yota with a blown motor for cheap and swap your motor in, then sell your truck.
that or you could make it a converitable

Clean it up a little better and take it to another place. From the pics, I don't see any deformities near the windshield gasket.....or buy the glass and put it in yourself.

they guy said that to put it in he would have to grind off some of the new windshield. oh and the back window is almost popped out on the drivers side. i dunno, im gonna take it somewhere else like you said, and take it to an auto body place to see what they have to say

Take it somewhere else. Last Jan. I did a lot more damage to my wife's 92 than that. The body shop straightened out really well, but it still wasn't perfect and the autoglass shop still put in a window....with a guarantee.

What is pirate?

Does anyone know what dcg9381 meant by asking on pirate? I don't do body work but I was wondering if bodyshops could cut the pillars all around, sort of like making a convertible, find a donor and weld back into place. Not that that would be the cheapest thing to do but I often wonder what hard core people do when their trucks roll, and if they even care.

he is referring to pirate4x4.com. and shops can cut off the pillars and replace it, but its not going to be as sturdy as before i dont think.

he wanted u to post it on pirate4X4.com so the guys there would make fun of you.. he was being a dick...

it sucks enough you flipped your truck then you come to a friendly place like yotatech and lately i have seen alot of these go ask on pirate remarks... like if you dont want to help the kid keep your internet tuff guy attitude at the door.... Everyones gotta learn and start somewhere...

can you post up some more pics maybe without the snow.. there is lots of knowledgeable people around here that will give you creative critisim not just break balls.

Well, once the metal has bent, it won't be as sturdy either. Welding some new ones would work.
