Fixing Leaks; Oil Pan on deck, Help :)
'88 3vze; A340H Tranny
So I've been slowly plugging away at fixing the leaks and catching up on Maintance since I bought my 4R in march. This weekend my Dad and I did the timing belt, replacing the idler arm pulley and tensioner. Also replaced the seal on the oil cooler Cap(since my 3vze didn't come with a cooler.. A few weeks ago we did the valve cover gaskets.... But we still need to block off the main artery which has been the oil pan. I've been to toyota and bought their black FIPG. So I know not to use a gasket I've did some searching and haven't found a real definitive way to get to the oil pan to seal it. My best thought so far was to drop the front diff and tackle the oil pan that way.. Can someone chime in on their experience with this project, or lead me to a good DIY? Thank you so much!
