Finally Flopped the truck!!!

Alright well it finally happended...I knew it would just wanted it to happen after I got an exo done. Now I am on the search for a new rust free and hopefully dent free cab!

To top it off I bent the brand new jack on my trailer pulling out of a steep driveway (the guy I got to weld it on welded on one that was too long!!). Then I flopped my truck, then on the way back from leaving early to start tearing into my truck, the clutch in my DD/ Tow Rig is probably going to have to be replaced! (I think the hub came apart because its hard to put into gear!)

My Plans are to fix the Dodge first cause Its my DD. Then I plan on getting a new cab for the yota and doing an exo and hopefully making it a street legal truggy!...When I start working on it Ill start posting some pics in a new thread, but here is the carnage!

And me and a buddy ripping out whats left of the windshield! (Im in the Blue)

ew, that sucks

and you have a purdy SASed 3rd gen too...

well, it still is purdy, depending on which side you're looking at

I say just straighten it out for the most part, don't worry about the minor imperfections, put a plexi windshield and back window on it, and build a full exo for it

I don't mean to hijack the thread, but what would one expect to pay to have an exo-cage constructed for these trucks? I've been thinking about pulling the dents I have back out (at least so my door shuts) and get a good cage for it.

No I dont want to cut the roof off because I still want it to look nice. Im thinking either new cab with new paint (rattle can or roller) and exo, but it still be a street legal truggy. Or I am going to make it an FTOY...but 2 of my wheeling buddies have FToys and I want to be different.

Im thinking full exo, no bed, cut the back of the cab out (if I want to add more seats later), bobed frame, cut the new front fenders and cab out to run 4Ds. Sell my bumpers to recoup some money, run it on pane and get all the crappy 21 year old wiring out. And still be street legal!

BTW the window in the door is fine, even though its never comming out only the smokers window and windshield shattered...and the rear window is also fine, it just popped out of the hole.

Also Both doors still latch and open

Im getting all the welding done for free, I just have to pay discounted pricing on the tube (it pays to be friends with people that work at an offroading shop, plus they are generally awesome people!!).

I would expect maybe around $1k-3k depending on vehicle. Labor is whats going to kill you because you pay after they tally up the hours!

I actually though about that but I dont know if I want to do that or not... will the extra space really be worth all the extra work??

I think it would be worth the extra work. Gonna have the cab off the frame anyway, add/move the rear cab mounts back. I know it is not as cut and dry as that but if I were in your situation that is the route I would go,

Not sure with your exo you were planning on ditching the bed or not, but doing a front bed bob is as easy as doing a rear

Cant see it in the pics, but the bed is toast. It would make some of you yankees with salty winters sick because it is a stock bed with absolutely no rust. Tailgate is fine and also has no rust...cab is also rust free!

But I am just going to tube bed it probably, I know for a fact I will not be putting another bed on it!

i think that you might have to run a small body lift to clear the rear horse collar..
not sure but definitely worth the time doing the research..

Well my truck is too tall as it is! So a body lift is outta the question. I probably would just cut the floor out...lol

Me and my passenger are fine, just sore. And my Pride hurts a little bit.

I dont want to just straighten it cause I want to make it street legal again. And its not just a trail rig. I love the look of a awesome condition truck on the trail with an exo!!! Plus when im mall crawlin ill be gettin all the girls

I want to run 40s at some time in the future...after these boggers wear out (which honestly cant come faster, I hate these tires). Drop the lift a little bit and tub the cab!

I was going to suggest this, too. I have a regular cab, and there's nothing wrong with it. I found an extended cab for sale in my area for $400. I almost jumped on it, but have no reason to do it right now. I'd love the extra space, though.

If/when I do the bed on my pickup, I'll be cutting it all up for tire clearance. Same with the front. Now's the time to do all that while the truck is down anyway. And I agree with you, that a nice looking exo'd truck is sick, albeit, possibly a pain in the butt to wash. LOL.

I dont think it would be too bad to wash! Its just like my marlin crawler rear bumper just all over the place...lol! I try to avoid mud all the time, so it shouldnt be a problem!

I am now on the search for a cab!
