figuring out what trans?
I have a 90 pu with the 22re and 5 speed 4x4. Thought it needed a throw out bearing, but the local trans guy says he's pretty sure the trans itself is shot and suggested looking for a good used one to swap it with.
So my question is, how and where do i look to find exactly what trans model? i have. Or are they all the same for the 4 cyls?

maybe this is a stupid question but what is the difference between a w and g series trans. I called around and it seems like everyone has a g series trans but no w. Will a g work?
