Unhappy Fan not working....

So about 3-4 months ago I changed the blower motor resistor in my 1991 4Runner, because the motor was only working on the highest and lowest speed's no middle speed. After it was changed all speed's worked for a few month's till this weekend the fan started to make some really weird noises. Kind of like it was hitting something. This morning I had a bit of fog on the window and went to turn the fan on and nothing..... No speed works.... I haven't really looking into it yet since I am pretty busy but does anyone have an idea what exactly might have happened? what I should check for? Justin

Sometimes the switch burns out but mainly if the motor is really stiff from dried bushings and crud.
You can also check the switch by pulling up and down on the level lever, it might go on and burn somemore.
The resistor is mounted to the left of the motor.

Check the motor make sure it spins easy, Best place to start.
