Exhaust upgrades on 22re

I am all stock with an exhaust leak at the manifold and 3 leaks in the muffler. I ordered a full exhaust kit from lce. Header, 2 1/4" cat, and 2 1/4" full exhaust. Might not have it all together for a couple weeks (backordered). But I will keep you posted.
Batt/ intake swap with a supra maf helped with throttle response and maybe 1mpg increase, which has since been erased by the exhaust leak.

LCE 2.25" header,cat & muffler and tailpipe.
Made a little difference but nothing to write home about.
It took other mods to go along with the exhaust mod to see and feel a difference.
I think the biggest improvement I noticed on my 22re has been the overbore throttle body and matched bore intake.
A motor is essentially an air pump. The more air it pumps the more power it makes.

It has? I'm not too sure about that Logan.... Although you MIGHT be trustworthy enough to believe.

Oh my gawd@!!!
Exhaust upgrades... OK let's do it@!@!
I think that a Doug Thorely header with 2.25" exhaust, and a free flow muffler is as good as it gets. You should see about a 10% gain in HP on a healthy stock 22RE. You will probably lose just a tad of torque from off-idle to around 2,000 RPM, but you'll see a nice increase in throttle response from there up.
