Error code 52!!!???
Ok i know its the knock sensor code, but ive changed the knock sensor and the wire it attaches to (brand new), and after a month since changing it all the light keeps comming on indicating the knock sensor!
It really retards the timming and it goes like a pig, ive tried premium fuel and retarding the timming and it keeps coming on, even when going down hill ie: no load
It started not long after fitting extractors, could the extra noise and vibrations be causing this??
Im going nuts!
Oh and i did fit a brand new after market dizzy off ebay about six months ago, could this be the cause??
Thanks for any help guys!!

Yeah its definitly not knocking, it even does it with a light throttle down hill with premium fuel.
Would a exhaust leak near the headers be picked up by the sensor thing its knocking? Cause it does have a leak there....

The knock sensor retards the timing to stop knocking that it senses before you do. Chances are good that the engine is actually knocking but the sensor is quietening it down to where you don't hear it.
Extractors (ie mufflers) could possibly make it knock if they are leaning it out too bad. Other than that how's your compression? Checked it lately?
How long since last rebuild?
General condition of the motor?

If there is a lot of heat build up in that area of the header with the exhaust leak, it could cause spark knock. With all the mods you've done, this could be a problem having been developing for a while. Like ovrrdrive said, check compression on those cylinders.

Nah havent checked the compression, dont know if its had a rebuild. Its a Jap import motor that was in it when i bought the POS.
Just read another post by that girl that keeps getting the code aswell, but with different symtoms...
Im doubting ill ever fix this problem, this is the most troublesome car ive ever had or heard about! I would not reccomend them to anyone!
