Ok so after searching i couldn't find an answer so here is my delima. Just picked up a 92 4runner with a 3. slow, that needed work. I have replaced both heads with remans and all the work that goes with it . tonight i took her out for the madden voyage and after driving and idling for about 30 minutes or so the check engine light and the a/t temp light both would flicker at the same time the truck would stall, never actually die but buck light it was almost going to die. as long as the lights were off the truck ran fine. Timing is set at 12dbtc fluids are good and it runs really well until those lights start. and they don't stay on nor do they flicker repeatedly it is just once every 30 seconds or so maybe 4-5 times then stops for a few minutes before starting again. I'm just stumped on this one.

Sounds like it's loosing power or sensor data.

Check for stored codes, also verify the primary EFi ground is clean and firm (Back of the right side valve cover) wouldn't hurt to check them all, If those are fine I'd suspect the Crank/Cam position sensor (NE sensor).
