EGR/Vaccum Question?
You all know where the EGR valve tub goes into the intake i want to know how long or far the hole is inside the intake where the EGR goes. I'm trying to clean it and want to know best way how.

I assume you are asking about the 4 cyl, in which case I won't be of much help ....
On the 6 cylinder, the egr tube is about 10" long, and fits into a hole in the plenum that is about 1/8" bigger all around. Mine was so fouled that I almost couldn't pull the EGR tube out. Then how do you get in there? (You come in from the throttle end, but it's still not big enough to even put your hand in.)
In the end, I removed the plenum (part of a head job) and soaked it in dishwasher detergent. I used a bottle brush to scrub out as much crud as I could. Then I used a 1/2" square stick to scrape the dried hard stuff remaining after the oil was washed off by soaking.
Did it help? Oh, yeah. Before: my A/C and power steering idle-up didn't work, after: they did.

Mines an 86 22re. So it really does go up that far...So mine being an early 22re would be almost to the throttle plate? Any suggestions on cleaning it out or if needed?

my 91 looked like it came all the way to the front and dumped out right onto the TB
the combination of that and running a rich mixture becaues of a bad O2 sensor lead to this:
the first picture is of the upper manifold with the TB removed, and the second one is of the back-side of the TB...
nasty stuff...
oh and if it helps, here's a shot of INSIDE the upper plentum; you can see the EGR tube on the right side of the picture (technically it's the top-left of the plentum; the picture is on it's side) and it's actually part of the plentum
