EGR system code 71

Checked codes today, after solving my coil and igniter problem by cleaning the terminals. Now I'm getting code 71 EGR system and code 25 lean fuel ratio. The wire to my EGR valve has been unconnected for a while. I never new a wire hooked up there till viewing a recent picture. I found the connecter from the harness which was hiding, thank god its there. Now I need a wire for the valve. Could this be why I'm getting the code 71 EGR system? Anyone know how much the egr wire is and how it hooks up?
