its in the works... think its gonna happen in about a week... found a garage space to use and a buddy who's keen on the idea... triumphman... check your fan clutch... stick stiff piece of cardboard into moving fan assembly... if the fan stops your clutch is toast... watch the fingers!

So, with all this said, I gotta get my 3VZE 4R to my mechanic 40 miles away. Head gasket is going again, just had it done 30k ago. Typical symptoms, oil coolant mix, white smoke, rough idle, and low torque at start up.
If I change the oil first and monitor the coolant level on the way, would I be safe driving it up to the mechanic, 40 miles, mostly freeway, or should I just not bother and have it towed?
I'm not going to do the work myself, and he is who I want to work on it, so I gotta get it there. I'd rather not bother with the tow if it can be avoided, but if it may save some damage, thats what I'll do.

Thanks!!!
