Ecu question

Ok so I got a new ecu for my truck it's a 95 2wd reg cab 22re it has 2 grey connectors unlike most, we'll I found a 2 connector ecu today at the boneyard by a stroke of luck, on the ecu it says 22re in yellow letters and big capital letters says HC a
nd mine says the same but instead of HC it says NS
What is the differences between them?
What do the letters mean?
Honestly the only difference between my truck is my truck has been sased and is a different color, same options and everything

If the part numbers are the same, you should be ok. You can look at each pin in the ECU and make sure the new one has the exact same number and location of pins.

It fits and I got it started today and it had no miss at all, I've never seen the tach so smooth ( smooth as glass) I think the timing needs adjusted and it should run better I think, seems alittle sluggish when you rev it up and when it goes back to idle it try's to die but stays running thinking the tps might need adjusted too but that not a big deal
