I think the ones I ordered are a different style that the others bought. I'm not too concerened ill give them a try. He has a 7day return policy Ill just see if I can exchange them for a different style.
Im thinking when robert said they pointed down when the high beams were on I wonder if it would have helped of they were fliped over. I got the shipping number today so they should be here next week. Ill let you all know how they work.

And it also lists them as the ones for 82-95 toyota trucks in the description.

Nice...

I'll see how the Ultra 100w/55w bulbs are and if they're not enough I'll get a set of those. I'd like to keep it tolerable for cross-traffic on the low beams if I can, but if I need more I just need more.

Thanks for the link.

as far as cross traffic goes i actually lowered my beam 3" more than it should be. it lights up the road better and when i want it to be "daylight" i just hit the highbeams. thats part of the reason i dumped my HId kit the "highbeams" looked more like parking lights..

Mine showed up a day early. The quality looks pretty good. It may be a few days before I can test them out though. So far they look nice.

I got my lights today and installed them. I hate to say but Robert was right. I know I got a different style than some of the others. My reflector backing and front glass is a differint style/design. The lowbeam light can't hold a tight enougth pattern and can't shine out but more than a few feet. I think I will see if I can sent them back for a set like Elton has. I know ill have to eat the shipping. FYI I only got 55/60 bulbs.

If you got the ones I linked in post #93 you got the same ones everyone else bought.

I'll try to get mine in asap with some before and after shots. FYI, I got the 100w/55w ultra bulbs.

edit. Actually, I take that back... I just looked at mine again and they're HL-109's but they have an SM designation which says "*Sheet metal. Even though they have the same number as the ones in the first post, mine have a different lens on them. My lens is almost completely smooth. Interesting. We'll see how they do.

Here's what I got too. They're designated "Crystal Multi" instead of the regular lights. I hope I didn't screw anyone up by posting the link to that...

If I did, I apologize in advance...

I didn't catch the Crystal Multi thing at all.

Good luck partner thats the ones I got too. Don't sweat it I'm a big boy I knew what I was getting into. Thats what I was talking about by they were different. The high beams wwernt too bad so mabey with some higher watt bulbs they may be ok. I contacted the sell to return them. it was 40 dollars for the lights. Proab 10 to return them So thats 50 then Ill get 25 back so its a 25 dollar oops. I may try the DOT legal ones in post 94. I like to roll the dice.

Ok. I just went and put them in to see what the deal was and I have to admit, I'm not too happy with them. They put out a whole lot of light but it just isn't that useable. I think part of the problem is the Ultra Blue. I think I would have been better off with the white lights. On high beam they do throw some serious light (100w) but the pattern is kind of weak. Low beam is dimmer than a set of standard GE lights.

It's better than what I had because mine were so old, but it's disappointing to say the least. I'll probably try better aim first, then probably a set of those Hella bulbs. I'm not too upset with them as I'm pretty sure they'll probably end up being ok, I was just hoping for more.

Against the house they're pretty impressive though, but on the road the thril factor goes down very quickly.

Old low beams... Notice the right one is barely working at all.

New low beams

Old high beams...

New high beams. Wow.

And a distance shot of the high beams.

You decide.

i just bought the hella h4 conversion with the normal lights and i was very impressed, however i plan on ordering a set of piaa ultra whites, there like 50 bucks but defiantly worth it. and they have the cool blue look from a distance.

They're the Ultra Blue 100w/55w bulbs I got with the kit. I paid the extra $4 and upgraded. I found a set of bulbs in the garage last night I pulled from my FZ1 a few years ago that I'm going to try out. I think the biggest problem with the new bulbs is that they're the blue.

I won't give up until I try a pair of those Hella bulbs in them. The pattern is nice, but there just needs to be more light.
