I have E-codes.

As for those of you wondering about the diode modification, it's to be used ONLY if you rewire your headlights using external relays, otherwise you'll burn out the diode, AND possibly fry your wiring in short order.

All you have to do, is on your rewire harness, jump the diode from your high beam switch (not the high beam power) to the low beam switch. The only current that the diode should be carrying is to power the relay for your low beams, NOT the current to actually power the headlight!

Also, it's best if you build your own harness, that way you can put the diode in the new male end headlight connector before it goes to your relays.

By the way, this is the connector that you'll want the diode in:

I've been running mine like this for a while, and have noticed no problems at all. However, if you do it incorrectly, you can really fry some wiring.

looks good? that light pattern is horrible! its beam cut off spread all over the place and the glare from it must be completely blinding to oncoming traffic. that is the exact reason you shouldnt put HIDs into non projector housings.
