E-Brake Light Glowing

My E-Brake light is glowing... After performing a search, I found that it is usually an indicator that more brake fluid is needed. I topped off the fluid and still have the same glowing light. This kinda worries me since im going on a road trip tomorrow. It doesn't feel like the brake isnt disengaging all the way... so I'm not really sure why it's doing it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Eric

hmmm, dig around in your center console until you find something that could be a switch on the ebrake handle.... disconnect it, then stick a paper clip in the harness(connecting the wires)... if disconnecting it or the paper clip make the light go out, then your switch is bad...

i dont know if there actually is a switch in the center console... but that is where i would look first, and am guessing may be the likely culprit

I couldnt get the thing unplugged... but from testing, it doesn't look like the pull lever is depressing the switch all the way. I pushed it in with my finger and the light didn't glow; with the lever, the light glowed. I'll test again when it's darker, but I'm pretty sure the lever is the problem.
