durned electrics
perhaps someone knows of a remidy to my latest woe--
my dashboard lights (speedo, tach, etc) and heater/cooler lights stopped working...ok, i'll live with that
then i learned that none of my running lights work--that sucks. found the busted fuse (15 A) and replaced it with another 15; minutes later the new one blew out--replaced it with a 25: blew out; replaced that with a 30: blew out. all within minutes of "install".
i have no high energy using lights or electronics, just stock stuff--any ideas where to look for a short?
thanks guys

1st. check all your bulbs/connections. (remove bulbs; if your methodical)
2nd. anything new get installed lately- check that.
find the main fuse box (all of them eventually if the main doesnt do it)
turn everything off.
pull out one fuse at a time, then re-try another 15a. fuse (*dont use higher, you could melt stuff)
one at a time, pull one fuse out, and put the other removed fuse back in.
this way, you can narrow down a fault.
all the way into the engine bay, and into relays too.
turn stuff on, one thing at a time (wipers, cig lighter, etc.)
if none of the fuses (less the one thats blowing) pop, well, fallow that wire back, or forward into its corresponding fuse panel, or switch, and tape/or re-wire that part.
hope that helps

if you have an aftermarket stereo check all the wiring. you'd be surprised what kinds of problems an amp, sub and stereo can cause with improper installation. P.S. i woudlnt use bigger fuses, you can burn up some stuff doing that.
