Driveshaft + rear diff. problem
yeah, when you grab my driveshaft on my 89 4cyl. and try to move it, it wiggles a little bit, and the rear diff. was bone dry like a week after i filled it somthings wrong, i think its the bearings and seals, and shims yada yada, in the rear diff... could it be anyrhing else?

That's a pretty serious leak. You must have a puddle of gear oil on the ground somewhere. The leak can only come from one of the three oil seals (pinion or either axle) or the third member gasket. None are too hard to change--just take some time.
Is your driveshaft moving at a u-joint or at the pinion yoke? If the u-joints have play then they should be replaced. If the pinion flange wiggles then the bearing spacer may have failed or the flange nut may be loose. The bearing spacer is easily replaced but to properly adjust the preload on the bearings you need a small torque wrench designed for setting preloads on bearings (and a 1/2" drive torque wrench to tighten the flange nut.)
Fix it ASAP as diff bearings and gears get very unhappy when the gear oil is low.

The loose "compainon" flange is pretty common.
It's a 32mm bolt.
Unstake, retorque to 90ft-lbs and restake the nut. Remove the 14mm breather and make sure its not clogged. Re-fill and go from there.
If it leaks out you should be able to see where its getting slung.
