Im looking at a 94 4runner on saturday that has less than 100k miles on it cuz its been sitting for a couple years...its dirt cheap though and its already lifted 4" (suspensiopn lift) and has some mods...

the guy says it runs fine in 2wd, but to run in 4wd it will need drive shafts put back in, i guess they were removed at some point or broken...

how hard is this to do, and what am i looking at price-wise?

I helped a friend replace the front driveshaft on his jeep , and it was really easy. Took us less than an hour. I've never done it on a toyota, so I guess I might not be the best to answer your question. But I can't imagine it being much more difficult, if at all.

easy!!!! there 4 bolts each! just make sure you have the shaft the right way or you will vibrate all over the place!


as for the price! maybe about 1000 maybe upwards of 2k maybe even up to but not over 4k depends on what she runs like and looks like!

take some pictures of this and we can tell you about what WE would pay for it just dont forget to tell us the addy its at and the guys name too!

all you need is 4 14mm wrench to install drive shaft.. one end the bolts some out and one end is like studs so you put it on that end and compress it at but then bolt in the bolt side..
it should take you 15 minutes top and you can do it on the ground with the ebrake on, no jacks and tires on!

Yep, easy install. You can get used ones for dirt cheap.

this is all what i thought...i meant price on the driveshafts not the vehicle...

the price is $2200 and hes willing to mess with the price a little...and like i said less than 100k miles on it! if this is the case and everything else looks good, ill try and get it for like 1800 or so, and ill have a new toy to work on...

well there you go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 less then 2k for a really nice truck LUCKY! i say go for it! and then you can get the shafts cheap and show us the trail pictures!
