Unhappy driver side floor knocking?

i have a 95 4Runner sr5 v6 IFS 3.slo. i recently had to replace the right lower control arm because of a in pothole. anyway after the deed was done i noticed a "knocking" in my floor panel when i make sharp turns and it never did that before! it feels like a giant bubble is popping under my feet and sometimes it'll do it between 2 and 6 times in a turn! idk what it is, i checked with the mechanic who helped and he says he cant see anything wrong but he sure feels it and doesnt know what it is... has anyone else had something like this happen? can you tell me what it is?

Does it do it when you are moving and turning or sitting still and turning the wheel? Make sure you didnt leave anything loose. Swaybar maybe?

Do you have manual locking hubs? If the sway bar checks out ok, make sure the c-clip is on the cv axle and that the hub was installed correctly.

ok so the mechanic said it was either sway bar bushings or an "interruption" in my steering linkage. I BELIEVE the sound and bump were coming from the turn stoppers because they ARE getting old and they are rubbing against each other when i max out my turning. i hope some of this helped, there will be more to come and pics are on the way!

my trun stops make noise in both my 87 and my 92, but neither of them thump, and its only when turning at full lock.

does yours have to be at full lock to make the noise/thunp?

Are you talking about turning at full lock or not? If not, look at ball joints..

in the second pic, the arrows point out where the turn stops are supposed to meet and signify the CORRECT direction they're supposed to behave. the circled part of the picture shows that the left stop not only goes left and right but up and down on the right stop. which is BAD! and that my friends is what is causing the bump and noises.

Wipe them down good and spread some multi-purpose grease on the all four of those stops. Those things can make some nasty noises when they get dry. If needed, you can get replacement stop caps at the dealer. I wipe them down and apply grease with every oil change.

Hope it was that simple
