ok this problem has graduated to: Wont stay running no matter what i do???? it seems like its a fuel delivery problem but i dont even know where to begin.

IAC idle air control
http://www.misterfixit.com/idle.htm sometimes you can clean it out with electric parts cleaner and it will run for a few months more just changed one on Friday for a friend .

ok found out it has to be something wrong with the mass air flow sensor. i jumped the Fp with the B+ in the diagnostic box and the truck starts and runs like a champ! looked at all the wiring, no broken wires and the connector was fine so anyone got a mass air flow sensor?

its not a matter of it reading correctly. theres something in the mass air flow sensor that electronically tells the ecu that the truck is not running so it cuts power to the fuel pump kind of like if the truck gets into an accident or if it is rolled over

try cleaning it first. if its dirty, it wont function right and yours isnt functioning right. why not clean it for like $3 versus buying a new one if you dont know 100% you have to yet?
