Does anything connect here?

Hey guys, I recently picked up a 95 4 Runner with the 3VZE V6. In the last two weeks I've done the timing belt, tensioner, and water pump change, new thermostat, new intake hose, valve cover gaskets, oil change, and replaced 5 hoses with new that were dry rotted on the EFI aka Plennum.

During the valve cover change I broke one of the nipples off this part 90917-11027 Toyota calls a Gas Filter. It is the small black part with 3 nipples for lack of a better term. I have a new one now, but when I first began working near it there were only two hoses connected to it, leaving one nipple open.

I've searched extensively on this site and the best description of what goes where is at the link below. The photo and matching list shows nothing on the third nipple, numbers 7 and 8 I have something for like the author recommends, but I've seen other photos that show 3 hoses attached to this Gas Filter. Anyone know what goes on the 3rd position or is it used for an option I don't have and I just need to cap it off? I don't have anything lying about that obviously needs to go there and there was nothing connected to port 3 when I started the job. Just trying to be thorough with my work.

Thanks, Mike

The "third" nipple is shared by the cruise control, and the ADD (through a blue/white filter).
So you can cap it off if you are 2wd and no cruise control.

That explains it. 2WD and no cruise control. Thank you for the info.
