I want to buy a mech locker like an aussie or something for my rear to really get me some traction but i also plan to go with 33's but not going to regear right away...does the locker need to change if i regear the rear end?

well seeing as i probably will get the locker and wheels in time for summer and probably not regear for another year depending on how i feel about the MPG/Power with the stock gears. how easy is it to do the gears yourself or is it not that much and worth it to have a shop do it for you.

Unfortunately, its a little exspensive AND definitely worth having a shop do it. lol

You can probably do the locker yourself, from what I've read about them they dont seem very hard. Been thinkin about getting them for front and rear myself. Regearing you should have a shop do for sure though.

Depends on what kind of locker you get.

A lunchbox style locker like a Lockright or Aussie can be put in if you're handy and mechanically inclined at home but a full Detroit or ARB replaces the carrier and requires a setup on the gears when reinstalled.

I did my Lockright myself and (knocking on wood) it's been working fine. You won't believe the extra traction you get...

Yea i ws surprised at the price its like 250 for the aussie locker... not sure about the others but thats a cheap price to pay when u get SOOO much out of it.. not sure if i want one up front tho... kinda scared me LOL
