Differential tube bearings?
Ok don't laugh too hard, but I've never taken the front of my truck apart and i'm curious if someone who has can tell me if there are bearings in the differential tube?
I've been reading through the FSM and Haynes and I can't tell what is in there.
Thanks in advance!

The FSM shows the tube on the long side of the front differential and has it labeled the "differential tube". It also shows a doughnut looking job but doesn't have a label on it. Another picture of the front differential assemly does not show the doughnut thing.

There is no bearing in the axle tube it self, the only thing in the axle tube is an oil seal. There are trunion bearings that hold the knuckles to the axle housing and after that there are the wheel bearing.

I'm not sure I understand what trunion bearings are or where you are describing them being located. Are you talking about the CV assembly on the inboard side?
There appears to be an axle shaft of sorts in the tube, what does it ride on on the outboard side?
