Difference between these 2 descriptions?
Anyone know the difference between these two descriptions of a 1994 pickup?
EXTRA LONG XCAB SR5
1/2 TON XLONG WB DELUXE
EXTRA LONG XCAB SR5

Well, one is SR5 and the other is a Dlx, so different trim packages. The only other thing that COULD be different is maybe the EXTRA LONG CAB SR5 could be one of those fiberglass "double cabs".

1/2 TON XLONG WB DELUXE = ½ Ton Extra LWB DLX
See the difference?

Yeah, I don't do pms. Unless I have to. If the situation gets desperate enough(everybody else backs out), I'm still willing to help you out. Haven't talked to that guy I know yet. But what I've got would work too...if need be. I'll make sure you have a way to get ahold of me(and/or him) if/when the time comes.
So, I went ahead checked on the actual payload #s out of curiosity...
4-cylinder Std. Bed DX Manual Trans. - 2055 lbs.
4-cylinder Std. Bed DX Automatic Trans. - 2000 lbs.
4-cylinder Xtracab DX Manual Trans. - 1860 lbs.
4-cylinder Xtracab DX Automatic Trans. - 1815 lbs.
V6 Std. Bed DX Manual Trans. - 1825 lbs.
V6 Xtracab DX Manual Trans. - 1625 lbs.
V6 Xtracab DX Automatic Trans. - 1560 lbs.
V6 Xtracab SR5 Manual Trans. - 1585 lbs.
V6 Xtracab SR5 Automatic Trans. - 1520 lbs.

Here are the specs to match the trucks in question:
EXTRA LONG XCAB SR5 Auto trans v6
1/2 TON XLONG WB DELUXE 5speed 22r ext cab (really is a little over 3/4 ton)
The descriptions are from carfax.
So 1 ton = 2000 lbs.

As far as you know, that would exclude all the 1 tons sold in NA: the flat-bed dually's with 22re's and 3VZEs and the u-haul trucks and even the "normal looking" pickups, right?
Back in the day (would have been 92), when I was selling the "toy hauler" type trailers for a living, I sold a "5th wheel" trailer and Reese hitch to a guy with a Toyota Pickup with V6 and 1 ton rating. I tried to talk him out of it since the 'yota didn't have quite the GVWR for pulling a 10K trailer.
Someone explain how that's possible, please.

A. That all 1 Tons sold in NA were sold in 94? Which is the year I was refering to, and I said nothing about "all the 1 Tons sold in NA".
Or
B. That you talked to a guy that had a 92 1 Ton PU with a V6? Which doesn't relate to my statement at all.
Well, I got news for ya. You're wrong and you're right.
All the evidence I've gathered suggests that they did not sell any 1 Ton PUs after 1992. If you wanted a 1 Ton Toyota truck after that, let's say in 94, it had to be a 1 Ton T100.
94 Toyota 1 Ton PU =
94 Toyota 1 Ton T100 =
Got any evidence to prove otherwise?
I'd love to see it!

I'm not sure what you're trying to prove here.

Hint: Springs do not a 1 Ton make. Show me a 94 PU that has a 1 Ton rear axle from the factory, and/or is classified as a 1 Ton PU, BY TOYOTA. Then I'll show you the entire lot of them that DON'T and AREN'T.
EDIT: BTW, the best evidence I've found to support my case comes from the official Toyota dealership sales brochures for 1994 found here http://www.toyotareference.com/. Which you're free to search through at your convenience.
But, just know this, that ain't all I got either. Fair warning...
