Did I get a knock-off OEM knock sensor?
I recently purchased a new OEM knock sensor for my 3VZE off of eBay. However, upon investigation, I don't see "Denso" stamped anywhere on the sensor. Did I get a fake?

I don't know much about the 3VZE but if you post a picture or two we can help you determine if it is actually an OEM part.
Was the seller a Toyota dealer selling parts on eBay or an independent seller?
What kind of packaging was the sensor in?
All new OEM parts I have bought came in a red Toyota box or a clear plastic bag with the Toyota part number and part description sticker on the outside.

It should not matter if its OEM or OE.

I do not know what the 3.0 sensor looks like. That is not the connector that the 22re uses or it could even be for a mid 90s truck. Since it came in the Toyota package, I would bet you got the correct OEM part and would use it. Toyota does upgrade their parts from what may have originally came with your truck. For my truck, for example, I can not get the original TPS as they upgraded it or improved it.

Alright, well thank you for chiming in. I was just weary because I've read stories about people getting "fake" OEM parts in certain instances, and other OEM knock sensors I've seen have had "Denso" stamped on them somewhere.
Either way, thanks for your time!
