CV Axle/Hub problem- HELP!
I have a 1993 Toyota IFS Pickup. I've been working on it for three years while stationed down here and mostly it goes well- but ever since I installed a lift kit, my IFS region has been an absolute mess.
I have a new set of CV axles I intend to install. I already installed a differential drop kit. When I put it all back in, the spacers didn't look like they stacked up evenly with the holes because the bolts went back in like hell. My left side hub binds up before the knob been be turned to lock about 2cm before the "LOCK" arrow lines up. The right wheel is making a gentle clacking jingle on bumps and intermittently while driving.
This morning I had it jacked up on a lift, wheels free of the ground. Transfer case in neutral, transmission in neutral. I could spin the passenger wheel freely, but the driver side wheel ( the one that won't lock in) only spins an inch or so forward or back.
I haven't taken the hubs apart yet, but I'm guessing something is broken in there, huh?

Put the hub in free. Take the six bolts out and pull the locking dial off and see what's up. With the dial off, see if the wheel spins freely. If the hub is okay, and the wheel spins, then try to rotate the CV.
